Meet Ramsey
Ramsey has over 15 years of experience in management, coaching, and organizational development. She graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2007 with a degree in Political Science and a desire to make an impact in the world around her.
After graduation, she joined Teach For America as a corps member in Rocky Mount, North Carolina. After her completing her corps experience, she was hired on staff at Teach For America as a Manager of Teacher Leadership Development. After two years in this role, she was nationally recognized as a leader in the coaching space; as a result, the organization modified their hiring tools to reflect her practices and technique.
In 2012, she was offered the opportunity to become the founding Managing Director of Teacher Leadership Development for the South Carolina region. She led a state-wide team to impact over 10,000 students across rural and coastal South Carolina; within 2 years, the region was performing in the top 3 of 40+ regions nationally.
In 2014, she stepped into a new role on the national recruitment and admissions team as the Director of Communications. A year later, she was promoted to the Deputy Chief of Staff where she was responsible for executive communications, facilitation of the senior management team, development and implementation of a culture turnaround strategy, and any and all special projects that came across the desk of the Executive Vice President.
In 2019, she took a leap of faith and launched her own coaching and consulting business. Since then, she’s worked with clients across the non-profit and for-profit spectrum including Blue Engine, Pro Bono Net, Accelerate Great Schools, Rocky Mountain Prep, Hopper Cummings PLLC, UpTogether, College Board, Teach For America (Milwaukee and Ohio), and Mass Insight Education and Research. She currently resides in Winston-Salem, NC with her husband and 3 children.
